The license device should be connected before the execution of the software and during all the time the software is open. The license could be unlimited in time or can allow the use of the software for a certain amount of time, could enable the firmware compilation for one of the two supported boards or for both of them. The possible messages that can be visualized are:

Image

  • Valid license: indicates a license unlimited in time;
  • The license will expire in <x> days/hours/minutes: reports the available software usage time;
  • License device not found. The software is in non-edit mode. Please connect the license device: appears if the license device has been disconnected. In this case it is not possible to use the diagram section, to execute the compilation or the programming. The only allowed action with the license device disconnected is the saving of the current project;
  • The license has expired. The software is in non-edit mode. Please buy a new license: appears if the license is expired. In this case it is not possible to use the diagram section, to execute the compilation or the programming. The only allowed action with the license expired is the saving of the current project;
  • License error. Compilation not allowed: indicates that the firmware compilation process has been launched without having a valid license for the board selected for the project;
  • License error. Programming not allowed: indicates that the FPGA programming process has been launched without having a valid license for the board selected for the project.
