Tags serve as valuable tools for users to retrieve specific versions of their projects. They can be employed to distinguish between various stages of development, such as identifying a working version, an intermediate iteration, or the final version of the project.

Create a tag

A tag can be created only on the latest version of the project

To create a tag follow these steps:

  • Open My Sci-Compiler in your web browser and sign in.
  • Navigate to the Projects section in the sidebar menu and select the project for which you want to create a tag.
  • In the project details cards, under the project name, click on “Tags” to open the page with the list of all tags for the project.
  • Click on “New tag” to initiate the creation of a tag. A popup will appear, allowing you to enter the name of the tag and optionally a message. Once you have entered the name of the tag and the message, click on “Create tag” to proceed. Note that only one tag with the same name can exist.
  • The tag has been successfully created and will now appear in the list of all tags. Additionally, it will be displayed near the respective version in the table containing all project versions.

Remove a tag

  • Open My Sci-Compiler in your web browser and sign in.
